Limited and VOD Releases: Limited Releases won’t be Erased
November 2nd, 2018
There are a few limited releases on this week’s list that could do well in theaters; A Private War, Bodied, and Boy Erased should do well. On the other hand, if you are not interested in heading out to the theaters, Possum is a great choice for Video on Demand.

Limited and VOD Releases: Check out an Oscar-winner or Three
February 9th, 2018
A lot of films on this week’s list are earning good reviews, but not great reviews. This means most of them will have to wait till the home market to find an audience. That’s not to say there are no movies worth going to the theater to see. Summer 1993 is the best, but both Pad Man and the 2018 Oscar Shorts collections are also worth the trip.

Limited and VOD Releases: High Water Mark
August 12th, 2016
This week’s list of limited releases is full of films that are earning good reviews, but not great reviews, and they will struggle to survive in limited release. Then there’s Hell or High Water. It might not even be close.

Featured Blu-ray / DVD Review: Fun Size
February 18th, 2013
Fun Size is a live action kids movie with a female star. These tend to struggle at the box office. This one was no exception. Despite opening right before Halloween and having a Halloween theme, the film bombed really hard. It opened well below the Mendoza Line and is one of the weakest openings for a saturation level release of all time. Is the film as bad as its box office performance? Or does it deserve to find a wider audience on the home market?
