Home Market Releases for October 11th, 2016
October 11th, 2016
Ghostbusters is the biggest release of the week and the best first run release. Combined with its fully-loaded Blu-ray (extended edition), it is a Pick of the Week contender. There’s not much competition. The main competition is a new Collector's Edition Blu-ray for The Thing, but this is at least a double-dip, which hurts its value. There are a couple of smaller releases as well. In the end it was a literal coin toss to decide the Pick of the Week and Ghostbusters won.

Home Market Releases for October 13th, 2015
October 13th, 2015
There are two $100 million movies on this week's list of Home Market Releases: Spy, which earned more than $100 million domestically, and Tomorrowland, which merely cost more than $100 million to make. Spy is arguably the best release on this week's list, but the Blu-ray was already named Pick of the Week, so that honor is going to Aladdin's Blu-ray debut this week.

DVD and Blu-ray Releases for April 22nd, 2014
April 22nd, 2014
According to Amazon, the top three best selling new releases of the week are a play, a film considered one of the biggest box office bombs of all time, and a yoga exercise DVD. Most weeks, these would be filler. This week, they are the top three releases. There's not a lot that jumps out as being worth picking up. Sorcerer's Blu-ray release will interest a lot of people, while the other two contenders for Pick of the Week are Bettie Page Reveals All on Blu-ray and Big Bad Wolves on Blu-ray. Like last week, it came down to a roll of the dice and Bettie Page Reveals All won.

Featured TV on DVD Review: Army Wives: Season Six, Volume Two
December 15th, 2012
I've reviewed almost all of Army Wives (part one of season six didn't arrive due to an e-mail glitch) and for the most part I've been very happy with the show's quality. There were a lot of changes in the early part of season six, not all of which were positive ones, but is the overall quality still high enough to be worth checking out? Or is the show rapidly running out of steam?
