Theater Averages: Spider-man is Lonely at the Top

July 11, 2019

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spider-Man: Far From Home led the way on the theater average chart with an average of $19,978. This is even more impressive, because it was a Tuesday opening. It earned a theater average of nearly $40,000 over its six day debut. The only other film to reach the $10,000 club was Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love with an average of $11,235 in four theaters.

There were no other new limited releases to release box office numbers. I said it was a slow week for limited releases, but I didn’t think it would be this slow.

Like last week, there was only one limited release to reach a major milestone this week. And like last week, it was The Dead Don’t Die, which hit $6 million.
