Synopsis
John Q. is a factory worker, whose job has been downsized, so his family are struggling to make ends meet. Then his son collapses whilst playing baseball, due to an heart condition. Sadly the family’s insurance won’t cover the son’s heart transplant. So his father takes the hospital’s emergency room hostage until the doctors agree to perform the operation.
