Thursday Night Previews: Grudge Grabs $1.8 million in Previews

The Grudge is the only new wide release, so that should have given it an advantage this weekend and its previews suggest that will be the case. The film managed $1.8 million from previews on Thursday, which isn’t that far behind the $2.3 million Escape Room earned during its previews this time last year. Granted, its reviews are not going to be a selling point, but even so, the film has an excellent shot at topping my $10 million prediction by a huge margin. It looks like 2020 will get off to a fast start.
