- Green Book won Best Picture, so it and Bohemian Rhapsody have to be seen as the Oscar favorites at this point. This seems so wrong. Practically every other film on the list of nominees was more deserving of front-runner status than those two films.
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was the obvious choice for Best Animated Film, so I’m glad it won.
- It was a very good year for documentaries, but even with this competition, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?’s win wasn’t a surprise.
