Synopsis
Once upon a time, Keith Michaels was an Award-winning Hollywood screenwriter, but divorce and a string of unsuccessful films have left him with nothing but bad debts and blank pages. So when his agent arranges a job as guest screenwriting professor at a remote university in upstate New York, a desperate Keith can't say no. Initially hoping to give minimal effort to actual teaching so he can focus on his next script, Keith unexpectedly finds himself becoming invested in his students lives, including Holly, a single mom looking to start her own new chapter.

DVD and Blu-ray Releases for March 31st, 2015
March 30th, 2015
This week on the home market is another week that is good on top, but shallow in terms of depth. There are a quartet of Pick of the Week contenders, including two limited releases (The Imitation Game - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray and Wild - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray) and two TV on DVD releases (VEEP: Season 3 - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray and Silicon Valley: Season 1 - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray). Of these four, I went with Veep as the Pick of the Week.

Limited Releases: Out of the Shadows
February 13th, 2015
After two weeks of doing highlights for limited release, I'm thinking of sticking with the format. If the film can't get at least five reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it likely won't find an audience in theaters. I was thinking of only talking about films with overwhelmingly positive reviews, but some weeks that would be none. This week, there are only two. What We Do in the Shadows (Reviews) and Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem (Reviews). The latter has better reviews, but the former has more popular appeal.
