2017 - Holiday Gift Guide - Part III - Limited Releases, Classics, Foreign Imports
December 16th, 2017
Both the first installment First-run Releases and the second installment, TV on DVD releases, were shorter than I would have liked, as this hasn’t been a great year for either wide releases or TV on DVD releases. Home Market Releases for March 14th, 2017
March 15th, 2017
There are a few Oscar-nominated films on this week’s list. However, it was still hard to come up with a Pick of the Week release. Most of them were like Elle with great reviews and weak extras. The DVD for Drunk History: Season Four has more than two hours of extras, but I admit it is an acquired taste. Fortunately, we do have a clear winner: The Love Witch on Blu-ray.

Limited and VOD Releases: Release Dates are Bewitching
November 11th, 2016

The official site says it’s coming out this week, so if it gets changed again, it is not my fault. It arguably has the best reviews on this week’s list and it is the one I’m most interested in seeing. That said, it is too out there to expect it to find mainstream success.

Limited and VOD Releases: These Films will Put a Spell on You
October 28th, 2016
While Halloween doesn’t technically arrive until Monday, it is still sort of Halloween weekend. This explains why there’s not a lot of films on this week’s list. That doesn’t mean there is nothing worth checking out. The Love Witch is the best of this week’s offerings with 100% positive reviews, but it might have to wait till the home market to find an audience.
