Synopsis
Screaming through the Nevada desert in a bullet-ridden Crown Vic, wily con artist Teddy Murretto hatches a desperate plan to hide out from lethal hitman Bob Viddick: He sucker-punches rookie officer Valerie Young to get himself arrested and locked up in a small-town police station. But jail can’t protect Murretto for long. Viddick schemes his own way into detention, biding his time in a nearby cell until he can complete his mission. When the arrival of a competing assassin ignites all-out mayhem, mounting threats force Viddick to get creative if he wants to finish the job and escape the explosive situation.

Weekend predictions: 355 won’t stop Spider-Man
January 7th, 2022
The 355 goes up against the unstoppable force that is Spider-Man: No Way Home at the box office this weekend, and there’s really only one possible winner. Although the webbed crusader won’t be dislodged from the top spot, 355 could do decent business, and will tell us something about where the market stands as we start out 2022.

Weekend predictions: Shang-Chi looks unstoppable
September 17th, 2021
One of this weekend’s two new wide releases will have to do much, much better than expected to challenge Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings at the top of the chart this weekend. The Marvel movie should come in with something around $20 million (or possibly a bit higher), and there’s a strong possibility that will be more than double the second-placed film. If Cry Macho and CopShop both falter, Shang-Chi might even earn three or four times as much as its nearest competition.
