Synopsis
Fans flock to a festival celebrating the most iconic horror movies, only to discover that the charismatic showman behind the event has a diabolical agenda. As festival attendees start dying off, three teenagers more schooled in horror-film clichés than practical knowledge about neutralizing psycho killers must band together and battle through various madmen and monstrosities to survive.

Home Market Releases for October 2nd, 2018
October 2nd, 2018
It’s an off week on the home market with no blockbusters to deal with. There are two solid midlevel hits, The First Purge and Sicario: Day of the Soldado, but neither of those are Pick of the Week contenders. (Ant-Man and the Wasp is also coming out this week, but only on Video on Demand). There are some high quality picks: Leave No Trace, Three Identical Strangers, Molly, The Spiral Staircase, and Hyouka. It was a close race, but in the end, I went with Leave No Trace Blu-ray as Pick of the Week.

Limited and VOD Releases: Don’t Wait for Tomorrow to see a Limited Release
August 31st, 2018
It is a very busy week for limited releases, at least in terms of secondary VOD titles. There are only eight entries in the main list, and a couple of those didn’t have enough reviews, but I included anyway, because all of their reviews are currently positive. Inventing Tomorrow and Pick of the Litter are among a handful of documentaries that are worth checking out, as is Let the Corpses Tan.
