DVD Releases for September 4, 2007
September 4th, 2007
Oh boy. September is not the best month for first run releases, but it is the perfect time to release TV on DVD as the new season is just about to start. This month there are more than 50 such releases, and that's just counting full-season or full series sets. I hope you were saving up, cause wow, there's a lot to spend your hard-earned dollars on. This week, the best of the bunch include several TV on DVD releases, including The Office - Season Three, but it is Robot Chicken - Season Two - Uncensored that wins the coveted title of DVD Pick of the Week.

The only other film to crack $10,000 was the overall box office leader, 300, which just managed that feat with $10,054.

Fetching Limited Releases
March 16th, 2007
A big list of limited releases this weekend, not so much in the number of films but in the number of theaters. Five of the seven films on this week's list have opening theater counts in the double-digits with a couple opening in more than six dozen. This means that even with little overlap in target audiences, at least one will be squeezed out at the box office. On the other hand, Fido has Canada pretty much to itself when it comes to limited releases. I've seen more ads for that movie up here than I have for Premonition.
