Featured TV on DVD Review: The Haunting of Hill House

The Haunting of Hill House has nothing to do with the 1999 film, House on Haunted Hill, despite incredibly similar names. It is based on the same novel that The Haunting was based on, which also came out in 1999. Hollywood is weird like that. This show earned a lot of critical praise and even some Awards Season glory. Was I also won over by the show? Or am I one of the dissenters?

Featured TV on DVD Review: Leverage: Season Five

Leverage's ended its run after five years, so it is a bittersweet time for fans. Sure, they get to complete their DVD collection of the show, but they also know there will be no more episodes in the future. Did the show at least go out on a high note? Do we get a satisfactory ending? Or does it just sort of fade away?

Featured Blu-ray: Beautiful Girls

Echo Bridge Home Entertainment is a distributor that specializes in releasing bargain DVD and Blu-rays for films that are generally forgotten. I don't think it is unfair to say that. I was a little surprised to see they were releasing Beautiful Girls on Blu-ray, and it was the film's Blu-ray debut. Has this film been forgotten? Granted, it has been a while since I've seen this movie, but I remember really liking it. Is it as good as I remember? And is the Blu-ray worth picking up?
