Theater Averages: The Lodge Takes up Residence in Top Spot

It is very rare for a horror film to lead the way on the theater average chart, but The Lodge did just that with an average of $12,709 in six theaters. The only other member of the $10,000 club was Cane River, which earned $10,240 in its lone theater.
Only two other new limited releases reported box office numbers. And Then We Danced did well with an average of $6,940 in two theaters. Come to Daddy was well back with an average of $2,117 in 29 theaters; however, it was playing on VOD, so just avoiding the Mendoza Line is impressive.
