Daily Box Office Tracking: Endgame Just Keeps Going
May 7, 2019
Avengers: Endgame continues its box office run scoring $10.7 million on Monday for a total of $631.9 million after 11 days of release. The film has already overtaken The Avengers for third place in the M.C.U. and it won’t take long for it to overtake Infinity War. The film is in seventh place on the all-time domestic chart and it will overtake both Jurassic World and Titanic before the weekend.
Internationally, the film pulled in $34.0 million on Monday for a total of $1.61 billion. It was already the best in the franchise by this metric, so it is just extending its lead. The film remained in second place on the all-time international chart and since there was a big gap between Titanic and Avatar, it will a while before it climbs into first place. Add in the domestic numbers and the film has $2.24 billion worldwide, meaning the film overtook Titanic for second place on Monday.
Looking in on some of the film’s top individual markets for Monday, we find China on top with $581.1 million; however, its daily total in China wasn’t the best at $5.1 million. The U.K. had the best daily total with $5.5 million, due to the holiday there, lifting its running tally to $95.5 million. South Korea was close behind with $4.9 million for the day and $87.1 million so far. The film has cracked $50 million in Mexico ($62.8 million); Brazil ($59.5 million); and India ($53.6 million). It isn’t too far behind that mark in Germany ($47.5 million); Australia ($47.2 million); or France ($44.0 million).
