As expected, Insurgent earned first place on the international chart earning $48.4 million on 10,187 screens in 76 markets. The film's biggest market was France, where it opened in first place with $6 million, while it made $4.37 million in 497 theaters in the U.K. earning first place there as well. Its best growth came from Brazil, where it nearly tripled the first film with $4.2 million. The film had to settle for second place in Russia with $3.76 million on 1,570 screens, but that was still close to 20% more than its predecessor opened with.

Cinderella was close behind with $41.1 million in 45 markets over the weekend for totals of $131.1 million internationally and $253.6 million worldwide. Its only major market opening came from South Korea, where it earned third place with $2.21 million on 530 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $2.52 million. The film remained in first place in China with $28.37 million, but that was for the full week, giving the film $53.45 million after ten days of release.

Home opened in third place with $20.1 million in 10 markets. This includes first place openings in both the U.K. ($8.97 million in 531 theaters) and in Russia ($5.19 million on 2,157 screens). If it can perform as well here as it did in those two markets, then the film will open with $50 million this weekend.

Taken 3 returned to the chart in fourth place with $18.6 million in 6 markets for totals of $224.2 million internationally and $313.0 million worldwide. Of the weekend haul, $17.00 million was earned in its second place opening in China.

Speaking of China, Lost and Love opened in first place in its native market with $18.17 million.

Kingsman: The Secret Service fell to sixth place with $8.5 million in 47 markets for totals of $181.3 million internationally and $295.9 million worldwide. The film earned second place in South Korea this weekend pulling in $2.42 million on 546 screens, giving it a total of $39.73 million after six weeks of release in that market. That's impressive.

Focus fell to seventh spot with $7.9 million on 4,750 screens in 64 markets over the weekend for a total of $71.1 million after four weeks of release. This is more than it cost to make, so it has a shot at breaking even, eventually. The film opened in France and Spain this weekend and if it can become hits there, the time to profitability will shorten.

Big Hero 6 fell from second to eighth place with $6.6 million in 20 markets over the weekend for totals of $422.8 million internationally and $644.8 million worldwide. The film earned $11.59 million over the week in China for a total of $78.00 after four weeks of release.

Run All Night remained in ninth place with $5.1 million in 23 markets over the weekend for a total of $15.6 million after two weeks of release. The film's only major opening was in South Korea, where it earned fourth with $1.12 million on 410 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $1.32 million.

Chappie rounded out the top ten with $5.1 million in 69 markets for a three-week total of $43.3 million. Its international run isn't over yet, but it would have to have a serious comeback to break even any time soon.
