Movie Website Updates for December 22 - December 29, 2006
December 30, 2006
Another abridged list with just the sites for movies opening this week, and two others. While there is less than a dozen films on this week list, the first one, Arthur and the Invisibles - Official Site, is worthy of the Weekly Website Award.
Arthur and the Invisibles - Official Site
The Dead Girl - Official Site
Factory Girl - Official Site
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - Official Site
Fast Track - Official Site
Miss Potter - Official Site
Notes on a Scandal - Official Site
Pan's Labyrinth - Official Site
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - Official Site
The Simpsons Movie - Official Site
Unconscious - Official Site
Massive site with plenty to explore including most of the usual features, (there are plenty of character bios, but I couldn't find any for the cast or crew). Throughout the several sections of the site there are numerous character bios, image galleries, (including concept, which I particularly liked), trailer, behind-the-scenes featurette, and much, much more. Adding in enough sound and animation to keep the surfer entertained, and you have the best site of this week's short list and the winner of the microscopic Weekly Website Award.
Just the basics, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, image gallery, trailer), and four clips. The movie doesn't expand with till the 19th, and there could be additional content provided then.
Wow. This is a slow site to load. 3 minutes in and its still less than 50% done. Now that it's finally done, it's not worth the wait. There are just the usual features with only a hint of style and practically no sound or animation. The closest thing to an extras is the timeline.
Just the synopsis and the first teaser trailer. But the inner-geek in me had to mention it right away.
Just the trailer, but the film's wide release was pushed back till March, so there's plenty of time for more content to be added.
A very simple site with just the very basics, (and no image gallery). However, the trailer sells the film very well.
No real changes in a while. I like the number of clips on the site, but it could use a little more cohesiveness.
Not much has been added since the last update, (they did mention some of the nominations and critically acclaim). It's a good site with all of the usual features, some video clips from Comic Con, and a guided tour of Guillermo Del Toro. I was hoping for more animation, but I'm still happy with the end result.
Several clips were added to the site, as was a preview of the soundtrack. This is a movie that will have difficulty finding an audience here, so most of the clips help, but some might turn people off, (specifically, the one with the twins).
Yet another teaser trailer. This one is nearly identical to the second teaser trailer, just with a different end joke.
Not much has changed since the site was featured a long time ago.
