Movie Website Updates for June 3 - June 9, 2007
June 9, 2007
There are a lot of movies on this week's list, but many have just the synopsis, image gallery, and the trailer, and many don't even have that. There were very few that stood out, but at least Speed Racer - Official Site got off to a great start. Perhaps it will win the award before it hits theaters.

Just the synopsis and the trailer.
Just the trailer, which is offsite.
The cast & crew bios were added to the site, as were four TV spots.
Just the synopsis, image gallery, and the trailer so far.
Just the synopsis and the trailer.
New look, but no real new information.
All the usual features are here, synopsis, bios, production notes, image gallery, but it is the trailer that sell the movie.
Just the synopsis and the trailer.
The rest of the Ark was added this week, including several clips of Steve Carell... I'm not sure what he's doing. They call it dancing, but I'm unconvinced. In addition, the bios were finally added.
Just the trailer, which is only available between 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. It's really not worth the wait and is, quite frankly, rather boring. I was wondering why a movie called Halloween is coming out in late August, and now I know why.
There's a new section where you can upload, view, and rate drawings of dearth eater masks.
The site was completely redesigned this week, but it doesn't have the same strong sense of style. Fortunately the old site is still there and is linked to on the new site.
I hate this site. That crying they use for background sound drives me nuts and that's all I'm going to say.
The site is up, but any interest I had in the movie was killed by that trailer. There's also a game on the site and a link to Stuntman Forever, neither of which helped sell the movie.
MySpace. Ick. However, there is a contest you can enter to appear in the movie.
Nothing. But the trailer can be found at Apple.com.
Nothing.
A new look to the placeholder site, but no new content.
Just the synopsis, bios, and some information on screenings. On the other hand, it does have more style than most sites.
Emma's blog is online.
All of the usual features are here, plus a page for each character. However, while there's a lot of pages, they are mostly dead space; had there been more animation here, or even a clip or two, then it would have been a great site. Personally, I was expecting more.
New look, but still no content.
Three TV spots were added to the site this week.
Nothing.
As promised, there was an update this week, however, it was much larger than expected. Not only were the regular features added, (synopsis, bios, image gallery), but also a massive amounts of video clips were put up. These come from the recent press conference, and you can check out the transcript, the clips, or download the audio. Had the site been more stylish, it could have been a contender for the Weekly Website Award.
The game was added and so was the first resident of Stormhold.
Just the basics without any real sense of style.
The clips were added to this award-winning site.
The trailer is online. It looks funny, but it doesn't appear to have much in the way of mainstream appeal.
Images of the Autobots and Decepticons were added to the site this week.
No real changes in a while. Overall it is a good site, but not an award-worthy site.
New look, but no new content.
Just the synopsis and the trailer on the site, and a link to an interview with the director.
