Corrected - Weekend Estimates: Blades Skates to Glory

Blades of Glory made an impressive entrance over the weekend, earning $33 million, according to studio estimates released on Sunday. Its total was very much in line with our prediction on Friday, as it benefited from wide audience appeal. Meet the Robinsons, meanwhile, also had a good weekend, earning $25.1 million, as it drew in family audiences.

There were major disappointments over the weekend. TMNT, fell a steep 62% from its opening to earn a mediocre $9.2 million. Further down the chart, much further down the chart, The Lookout opened with just over $2 million, earning less than $1,000 a little more than $2,000 per theater.
