Movie Website Updates for January 13 - January 19, 2007
January 20, 2007
Another slow week, but its been that way for a while. I'm hoping that will change when the summer blockbusters start launching their full sites soon, in fact, Spider-Man 3's Official Site did go live this week, but it is mostly marked coming soon and too soon to give it the award just yet.
Alone With Her - Official Site
The Astronaut Farmer - Official Site
Because I Said So - Official Site
Black Book - Official Site
Blades of Glory - Official Site
Dead Silence - Official Site
Delta Force - Official Site
Disturbia - Official Site
Eagle vs. Shark - Official Site
Ghost Rider - Official Site
Hannibal Rising - Official Site
The Hitcher - Official Site
The Host - Official Site
The Lookout - Official Site
Norbit - Official Site
Smokin' Aces - Official Site
Spider-Man 3 - Official Site
Surf's Up - Official Site
Just the regular features, but it doesn't feel very polished.
The bios have been added to the site.
The flash site is up and it includes all of the usual features, (synopsis, production notes, cast & crew bios, image gallery, trailer). There are also extras including a personality quiz, (which features a lot of audio clips), and a ton of video clips. It's a good site that sells the movie well, but it is not an award-worthy site.
Just the basics, (synopsis, bios, image gallery, trailer).
The trailer is now online and my interest in the movie is way, way down. I'm not writing the movie off at this point, but it looks like it will be a tough sell.
Just the synopsis, image gallery, and both the green and red banner trailers.
No real content.
Just the synopsis and the trailer, which hooked me right away.
Just a clip from the movie so far.
This week's video blog features a bunch of fans talking about Ghost Rider, both the movie and the comic it is based on.
Just the cast & crew bios and the trailer. I really liked The Silence of the Lambs, but none of the rest of the franchise has interested me. This one could change that, but it will be a tough sell.
Not much new this week, just some clips. Overall, the site is thoroughly average and didn't sell me on the film.
Just the trailer so far, but it's an awesome trailer. Been looking forward to this movie since it set records in South Korea and it looks like it won't disappoint.
Synopsis, image gallery, and trailer were added this week. I really like the trailer and I'm convinced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of the best, and most underrated, young actors around.
The full site is now online, but I must say, the more I see of this movie, the less I want to watch it. Much of the regular features are on the site, (synopsis, image gallery, and trailer), with several more marked coming soon, (production notes and bios). Extras consist of some games with some clips and featurettes marked coming soon.
Information on the Witness Protection Program and an E-card were added to the site.
The flash site launched this week, but there's not a whole lot here. Most of the basics are here, (bios are MIA while the production notes are marked coming soon). However, there's not much in the way of extras on the site at the moment, and not enough sound and animation to really blow me away. However, there's still plenty of time for that to change.
Just a quick note that the character walking us through the interactive map is extremely irritating and I dread checking out the site each week. This is not a good way to encourage people to learn more about the movie.
