One of the most hotly anticipated releases of the summer opens this Friday as Snakes on a Plane finally hits theatres after what seems like years of hype. Because of this we have three prizes that will be awarded to both winners this weekend. To win you just have to predict Snakes on a Plane's opening 3-day weekend (Friday to Sunday). Whoever comes closest, without going over, and whoever comes closest, without going under with both win The Lost City on DVD, Half Nelson CD Soundtrack, and... most importantly, a handful of rubber snakes. And since these prizes will be airmailed to the winners, there really will be Snakes on a Plane. Entries must be received by 10 a.m., Pacific Time on Friday to be eligible, so don't delay!

Friends with Money easily led the per theatre charts after earning nearly $600,000 in 28 theatres for an average of $21,048.
It was the only film to top $10,000 on the per theatre charts, although last week's winner, Brick came awfully close with $9,490 in 21 theatres.

It's a busy week for limited releases, with the number of films on this week's list hitting double-digits (and that doesn't count Kinky Boots, which has a sneak peak this Saturday).
There are a few films that look poised for some measure of mainstream success, with Friends with Money leading the way.

It's a much busier week this week including several sites that I found through e-mails. Thanks for the tips. (On a side note, if you sent me an e-mail regarding a movie site and I forgot it, please send it again. It was a big list this week and I'm almost positive one or two sites slipped between the cracks.) Unfortunately, while there are plenty of sites on this week's list, there's not a lot of top notch ones. The movie on this list that made me the most excited was
The Simpsons Movie, and that one doesn't even have an official movie site, just the
teaser trailer.
