Nickelodeon Favorites is a line of DVD releases that have been hitting the home market for years. Each one is a collection of the most popular preschool shows from the network, usually with a theme. The program is divided up into three parts, each running about two hours long.
The only extra on the DVD is a music video for "Snow Day" by the Fresh Beats Band.
No Christmas releases till after Halloween. It's not a difficult rule to keep, is it? Ignoring the timing, Nickelodeon Favorites: Merry Christmas has a better price-per-minute than most TV on DVD releases aimed at preschoolers, as well as more extras. If your kids are fans of these shows, it's worth picking up.
The Show
It's Christmas and after Dora and Boots exchange gifts, they want to give a present to Santa. Their first plan is to stay awake and give Santa his gift when he arrives. However, they fall asleep and Santa doesn't get his present. So now they have to travel to the North Pole, but they will need your help.
It's Christmas at the Animal Rescue Center, but with so many animals away from home recovering, they are worried that Santa won't find them, so Diego, Alicia, and the others make sure Santa will find the right animals. After getting that done, they hear reindeer with a sleigh stuck in the snow. This will be Diego and Alicia's most important rescue ever.
It's Christmas Eve and the Wonder Pets each get to open a present, Ming-Ming accidentally breaks Tuck's snowglobe and doesn't get a chance to open her present because there's an animal in trouble. It's one of Santa's reindeer and it's lost! Reindeer get into a lot of trouble on this DVD.
In this episode, the gang sits down to watch holiday movies and we get to see all the characters as babies, how Blue came into their lives, and we even see the first game of Blue's Clues ever played.
It's Christmas Eve and Team Umizoomi get a really special call... from Santa Claus! His toy machine is broken and he needs their help to fix it. It won't be easy and they will need all of their math powers to fix it, along with your help.
It's winter and Kai-lan plays in the snow for a while, then decides to go sledding. She wants to go with her friends, but Tolee is too scared to go. Will Kai-lan help him find the courage he needs?The Extras
